Cyprus Tourism Organization intends to develop not only traditional tourist directions, but to open a new form-religious
tourism. They have a lot what to present to the tourists. For example, 11 churches, being under the UNESCO
protection or the monastery Kikos are worth visiting.
Besides this, there was elaborated 30 new religious routes, comprising 200 monuments.
Another curiosity is situated in Larnaka. This is a shrine with the inscription "Lazar, Jesus' friend".
